Here’s What to Expect

Week ONE

Planning + Pilot Development

Get ready to write your script by getting your calendar together and your mindset in order. You’ll also have required reading to do too.

Week TWO

Blue Sky + Story Development

In week two, you’ll Blue Sky (idea dump/think broadly about your show). You’ll be taking notes for scenes, dialogue, and story beats that you want to use in your script.

Week THREE

Beat Sheet

It’s writing time! That’s right, in week three, you’ll be writing out a stripped down, bare bones, beat by beat version of your story. You’ll also be posting your work on the course message board for feedback and providing feedback to others.

Weeks FOUR to EIGHT

Act 1, Act 2, Act 3, Rewrite

Now that you’ve got the foundations of your story down, we’ll move on to the outline, first act, second act, third act, and second draft in weeks four through eight. You’ll also be posting each assignment and reviewing the work of others during these weeks.

🔷 This is a hybrid course with both live and online elements. There are 2 group calls where we’ll reinforce learning and answer your questions about the material. Each week, you’ll have access to a new lesson and you’ll have homework to complete that same week. You can access the course from anywhere and finish the lessons whenever it’s convenient for you.
